Frequently Asked Questions
STEL provides a telephony service using the protocol VoIP, this solution works via internet connection.
A Cisco brand VoIP router will be provided to operate the telephone line.
Alternatively, you can authenticate your telephone line using your own compatible device. with VOIP technology
This device will be provided on loan and already configured.
The device must be connected as follows:
Generally, if you request a single telephone number (new or brought from another operator), the line is enabled on the PHONE1 port where it will be possible to connect an analogue telephone.
The VOIP device It will need to be connected to your router, switch, hub or access point via the BLUE port called Internet (the WAN in the previous picture).
To understand if the VoIP device is working correctly, simply check the status of the LEDs located on the device itself:
this symbol indicates the power supply status;
this symbol indicates the presence of an internet signal;
This symbol indicates the operation of the telephone line

To send
Faxes can only be sent from the email address enabled during service activation (this can be changed upon request).
To send a fax, enter FaxNumber>@fax.kqumg.it in the "Recipient" field. Enter text in the "Subject" field to make the message easier to identify. You can compose the text directly in the "Message Text" area and/or attach documents in .doc, .xls, .pdf, .tiff, or .eps formats.
To receive
Upon receipt, the fax is delivered to the email address enabled when the service was activated (this address can also be changed upon request).
Usually, it is sufficient to open the file to view it: however, it is necessary to have the PDF viewing software Acrobat Reader installed, which can be downloaded for free from the website http://www.adobe.com.

If you encounter speed problems, you can try disconnecting all devices on the local network, connecting a single PC via cable to the router provided by STEL. If there is no router provided by STEL, you must connect the PC to the LAN port of the antenna power supply or to the cable coming from the latter and try again.
If there is a lack of connectivity, you need to check that the green light on the antenna power supply is solid, try unplugging it from the power supply for about 15/20 minutes and reconnecting it. If connectivity does not restore, you need to contact technical support.
If the light is solid red or flashing, you need to contact technical support.
